Reach out COVID -19 Afffected Children
Loliz Foundation through its project, The Genius in Me – Our Children Our Future, Project is implementing an initiative aimed at reaching out to children and the youths providing them with Psychosocial and mentorship through a wide range of platforms.
Since March 2020, when government closed up all educational institutions, all school going children and their Care Givers have had tough time copying up with the lockdown. Child labor, sexual abuse, defilement, early marriages, violence against children and mental torture to mention just but a few have reached their unprecedented levels according to various reports. All these have impacted on children academic competences and interests thereby setting up long term psycho-social negative consequences. Although government is beginning to relax the lock-down measures, many school kids are still lounging at
home, or engaged as domestic help, while others especially those in urban centers are left at home with no parental protection and care by their working class parents. As a Foundation we feel the issues and well-being of our children cannot wait! And so we are running a series of programs and initiatives that support children to remain focused and motivated not to give up but to push on! We are running series of counseling sessions for both children and their Care Givers; provide clinical and legal referral services both online and physical under strict Covid19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). We continue to call upon potential Partners and networks to ally with us on this noble cause.
