Lorna Lizbet (TT) Turyahabwa Turyamureba is the founder and Executive Director of “The Genius in Me” Uganda. Lorna is Multi-talented “bundle of resources”. She is a Professional Motivational Speaker, Mental Health and Psychosocial Facilitator and a Social Activist. She is a rare Gem and Social Genius whose passion and enthusiasm for promoting peoples holistic psychosocial wellbeing, personal development and effectiveness has launched many into their ‘genius zones’. Her one goal in life is to help as many people maximize their unlimited potentials and to manifest the greatest version of themselves as she can reach.
Lorna speaks to corporate and regularly conducts public lectures on a wide range of topics such as; The journey of life, career planning, personal and professional development, leadership, self-esteem, developing, creativity, retirement preparedness, transitional organizational change management, dealing with unexpected job losses, bouncing back after a career bang, goal setting , strategic planning, disaster and crisis management, psychological first Aid and organization development among others . Lorna has inspired her listeners to adopt techniques and strategies that have seen them enjoy almost immediate positive results in the area of their relationships, career growth, finances, job performance and holistic psychological wellbeing.
As a mental health and psychosocial master facilitator, she has conducted various workshops on mental health and psychosocial support training for mental health frontline caregiver’s, child and adolescent and HIV& AIDS counselors. She has directly provided psychological first aid to organizations’ frontline staff that were affected by Ebola epidemic in Uganda. She has conducted countless sessions of individual, couple, family and group counseling sessions on face to face counseling basis – Lorna reaches out to people’s hearts and minds.

As the founder lead activist of the Genius in Me program in Uganda, Lorna has spoken to thousands of school going children and helped them to discover the “Genius” in themselves. She has demystified the belief that being a genius is a rare gift and a very peculiar attribute for the lucky few. Many youngsters have empowered to discover the genius in them and to become great minds of their generation. Over 15,00 children from Kampala city schools have benefited from her class based coaching and mentorship sessions, counseling and Genius in Me Interschool Symposiums.
Lorna has dedicated the remaining years of her career life to build people as a “Genius in Me” Activist, professional Motivational Speaker and mental health psychosocial facilitator and personal development consultant.
